Bizzare issue with hidpi

hey guys, I have a bizzare issue, im trying to use intelliJ  idea. the tarball from their website scales fine, but with the arch linux package (https://archlinux.org/packages/communit … y-edition/)  it doesnt seem to work properly with hidpi.

here is info on my system:
KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Kernel Version: 5.10.9-arch1-1
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-1065G7 CPU @ 1.30GHz
Memory: 15.3 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® Iris® Plus Graphics
Resolution: 2560x1600

What exactly is wrong? My installation looks fine. What is the bizarre issue? Can you post a snapshot?
