[solved] problem mounting mtp device

I am using KDE/Plasma. Fairly fresh and simple Arch setup.

I want to use jmtps to mount my phone in a particular directory, but I can not mount it or access it with desktop photo apps because it seems something is already taking control of it upon plug-in.

This is what jmtp gives me:

Device 0 (VID=1004 and PID=633e) is a LG Electronics Inc. LG G Flex 2.
libusb_claim_interface() reports device is busy, likely in use by GVFS or KDE MTP device handling alreadyLIBMTP PANIC: Unable to initialize device
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'MtpErrorCantOpenDevice'
  what():  Can't open device

How do I prevent KDE from automatically mounting this?

Re: [solved] problem mounting mtp device

What worked for me is

kill kiod5

and then running the jmtpfs again
