Locked out with mounted filesystem - Need advice

I've just installed Arch and locked myself out AFTER I mounted a large volume. I forgot to update the shadow password file and is why I can't get back in.

Is there a way back in or am I going to have to reboot with this partition mounted?

Thanks

Re: Locked out with mounted filesystem - Need advice

Normal shutdowns/reboot will generally  unmount all mounted partitions and ensure they are in a proper state, so if that is your concern that shouldn't be an issue, especially not if you haven't actually written any/much data.

Not sure what you actually did to end up in the "locked out" state, but rebooting doesn't harm a mounted partition
