When I (or systemd) tries to launch pipewire, I get the following error:
[E][000001411.528906][main.c:464 main()] failed to exec: Invalid argument
I've taken a quick look at the pipewire source, and main.c has neither a line 464 nor any exec calls, so I'm kind of at a loss here. I'm just running /usr/bin/pipewire with no args.
The two recent changes I made to my system were partially migrating to parabola then reversing my changes, and updating lots of packages, including pipewire.
I didn't get far into the parabola installation guide, just up to the
pacman -Suu pacman your-freedom
instruction, where I realized I was about to break my installation. I don't think that this is the source of the issue, as all I did was change my package mirrors and keyring then un-change them. But I'd love to be proven wrong here.
Does anyone have any insights here? I have a feeling something is just configured incorrectly, so I'm posting here before opening a ticket with pipewire.

Maybe the problem is old config files? I had pipewire crash because of that. The pipewire update had changed the config file format and it crashed seeing my old files. See if you have .pacnew files in /etc/pipewire/ that you need to merge.

This was exactly the problem. Thank you!
