Issue with USB connected printer HP LaserJet 1018

Hi, I am facing issues printing to my HP LaserJet 1018 printer.

This printer was working fine until a recent system update. Initially the system was not even showing the printer in the System Print Panel.
I noticed issues with CUPS Upgrade in the Wiki, and noticed that my system was not running CUPS services. I disabled the old services, and started the new ones.

I checked the error log for CUPS (I have LogLevel debug in the config file: /etc/cups/cupsd.conf)

Relevant system info:

Re: Issue with USB connected printer HP LaserJet 1018

This could be something to do with foo2zjs and the new cups release.
Someone has recently commented on https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/foo2zjs-nightly/
that a hp-lj1020 doesn't work either, so maybe post something there for the maintainer to see.

https://www.openprinting.org/printer/HP … erJet_1018
shows you should be using foo2zjs-z1 as you are doing.

[I don't use foo2zjs nor do I have this printer]
