[SOLVED] chrome pauses videos when I switch to another workspace/tag

I'm using the google-chrome-beta aur (version 89) and the dwm tiling window manager.

When I switch to another tag/workspace in dwm, chrome in the previews tag/workspace will pause YouTube video playback after a few seconds. When I switch back to the chrome tag/workspace, chrome will resume playback.

Chrome doesn't have this auto-pause/resume "feature" when I'm using Gentoo.  Can I turn this off? I do want to listen to some video when I'm working on some other tag/workspaces.

After enabling the "X" use flag globally in gentoo, chrome began to behave exactly the same.
So this is not a distro-related issue, just some feature of chrome that can't be turned off.
