[Solved] Problem connecting to internet with forcedeth ...

rmmod forcedeth hangs indefinitely and the solution from this post, systemctl start dhcpcd@eth0 gives me an error, same for systemctl start dhcpcd@enp0s7.

ifconfig output :

enp0s7: flags=4163<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST>  mtu 1500
        inet6 fe80::7285:c2ff:fe6e:5ac4  prefixlen 64  scopeid 0x20<link>
        ether 70:85:c2:6e:5a:c4  txqueuelen 1000  (Ethernet)
        RX packets 0  bytes 0 (0.0 B)
        RX errors 1177  dropped 0  overruns 1175  frame 2
        TX packets 35  bytes 7094 (6.9 KiB)
        TX errors 0  dropped 0 overruns 0  carrier 0  collisions 0

lo: flags=73<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING>  mtu 65536
        inet 127.0.0.1  netmask 255.0.0.0
        inet6 ::1  prefixlen 128  scopeid 0x10<host>
        loop  txqueuelen 1000  (Local Loopback)
        RX packets 960  bytes 71040 (69.3 KiB)
        RX errors 0  dropped 0  overruns 0  frame 0
        TX packets 960  bytes 71040 (69.3 KiB)
        TX errors 0  dropped 0 overruns 0  carrier 0  collisions 0

ip link output :

1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
    link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
2: eth0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc fq_codel state UP mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
    link/ether 70:85:c2:6e:5a:c4 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff

this problem occured to me with every single linux distro I installed on my desktop PC ever, and every time, the fix was different.

Thanks in advance !

Fixed my editing the grub option for booting into arch and adding

forcedeth.msi=0

Do you really need net-tools in 2021. Are you even running Arch.

How do they look like? What if there are some spicy details in there.

They were quite huge and without internet I couldn't copy and paste them. But my problem is fixed (as I said above). I'll add [Solved] to the title.
