Cannot pair to Pixel Buds with bluetooth

I followed the installation and pairing steps here:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bl … stallation

and here:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bluetooth#Pairing

but the Pixel Buds are nowhere to be found.

Tried the troubleshooting steps here:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bl … up_in_scan

to no avail.

Even with the blueman-applet, they do not show up.

Pairs fine with my Pixel running Android.

Any tips?

Re: Cannot pair to Pixel Buds with bluetooth

I too thought I followed the instructions. Turned out, I didn't didn't have either the drivers or something like pulseaudio-bluetooth . which sucked because I thought all of the necessary tools would be pulled as a dependency of plasma-meta, since it provides a graphical bluetooh interface built in.
Maybe not the case with you. just throwing an idea

Re: Cannot pair to Pixel Buds with bluetooth

Uninstalled pulse-audio and pulseaudio-bluetooth and installed pipewire-pulse, rebooted and straightaway recognized pixel buds A-series. Sound is way better (crystal clear) than usual wired in-ear earbuds, I had. Obviously one won't get the in-ear detection etc. on the linux bt settings, so play won't be paused when you take one bud out. Haven't tested zoom calls/call answering while listening to music on Arch. will do that later.
HTH,
cheers!
