/ showing up, under gnome's computer twice?

OK, so I just recently decided to give gnome a go. I got it all installed and it works, everything down to the auto mounting (no surprise, it was working before).

I'm running Arch off of a 120GB SATA hard drive. my / is /dev/sda1. it is showing up as "21.7 GB Volume" in the Computer thingy, but only /; not /home which is sda3.

I'm at a loss here, as to why this behavior is being caused. any ideas would be helpful. thanks
