Problem with scandinavian letters in Xorg [solved]

Scandinavian letters dont show properly for me in xorg+kde. I'm using the right keymap etc, but the scandinavian letters show as boxes or question marks most of the time They work fine when im browsing on the web with konqueror, but everywhere else they show up as boxes...

I'm using the Tahoma font and I've tried different fonts and that didn't help
