Getting a 1920x1080 resolution in arch linux while on vmware

Hi, im new to arch and i would like to know how to change my arch linux resolution to 1920x1080 while using arch on vmwate workstation player 15. I have tried everything, but nothing works. I have seen a ton of videos and when i came the closes to getting that resolution this message appeared in the terminal after the $ xrandr --output XWAYLAND0 --mode 1920x1080_60.00 comand;
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)

Major opcode of failed request: 140 (RANDR)

Minor opcode of failed request: 21 (RRSetCrtcConfig)

Value in failed request: 0x0

Serial number of failed request: 22

Current serial number in output stream: 22

Please help me sad

If you are actually in a wayland session you need to set your resolution via the tools of the compositor you've setup (it's likely to be better supported in a xorg session regardless so that's something you should try).
