Hello,
Ive been using awesome and lightdm for a few days and very often, Lightdm can't start. If I change of tty and launch it manually it loads but awesome displays some errors. I have a Nvidia GPU.
Another thing is that if I use nvidia-xconfig, picom can't start and display an error about vsync. Deleting the section "device" fixes it.
Can somebody help me?
Thanks. ![]()

Please use [ code ] not [ quote ] tags for pasting outputs.
What's the point of the /etc/X11/xorg.conf ? If that was generated with nvidia-xconfig just to "have done it", remove the file.
The general "occasional" issue here is a race condition between xorg startup and initialisation of the graphics driver that has come up on linux 5.11 a few times see the mkinitcpio config in https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NV … de_setting for a way to enforce the drivers to be loaded earlier.

My bad. This is my first time posting on this forum.
I have 3 monitors and I use nvidia-settings to configure them. I know this is not the best solution, but it worked so far, so I never took the time to understand xrandr config.
Ok, ill try that.
Thank you very much!
