Hi guys, I am experiencing a problem with KDE global menu.
After searching through the Internet, I have made some tweaks in the settings, but it still does not work for all applications (including KDE-native applications).
What I mean by "not work" is that the global menu widget simply does not show anything after being added (if you choose to add an application menu bar, it will be completely empty).
I have:
1. Turned on the Application Menus Daemon startup services
2. Added the Application Menu button on title bar
3. Added Global Menu widget in my top bar
I am right now using: Arch Linux with KDE Plasma 5.21.2 and i3-Gap WM.
My suggestion:
Though it may sound wierd, but I have succeeded some time yesterday. At that time, at least for all QT and some GTK applications, the global menu shows up after a rebooting. As a result, I would say that whether it is working should not be related to the big environment (WM or DE). (note: the menu disappeared after another reboot)
(Sorry if my suggestion sounds confusing. If so, please ignore it)
Do you guys have any other suggestions on how to fix the Global Menu?

Alright. Though not knowing really the reason, but here are some tweaks that I believe to be helpful.
1. local/dbus
2. local/dbus-glib
3. local/lib32-dbus
4. local/libdbusmenu-glib
5. local/libdbusmenu-gtk3
6. local/libdbusmenu-qt5
7. local/appmenu-gtk-module-git
After these, though global menu still cannot be used, the appmenu widget is good to go. The package is this:
local/plasma5-applets-window-appmenu-git
The ultimate key to solving these kind of questions is to dig deep to see what is really going on for the menu to work. (dbus, etc. stuff)
