[SOLVED]Premature end of file /vmlinuz-linux

Loading Linux Linux ...
error:premature end of file /vmlinuz-linux
Loading initial ramdisk ...
error:you need to load the kernel first

I get this error when i try to boot. I tried booting into live iso and reinstalling kernel but did not have any effect. Any help?

Did you have your /boot partition mounted when you reinstalled the kernel?

Yes. Though I previously tried reinstalling linux and linux-firmware together. I tried linux only now, it seems to have worked however I have another problem.

initramfs: unpacking failed: invalid magic at start of compressed archive
 Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

Ok I reinstalled intel microcode and it's working now.
