I deleted my workspaces , how do I get them back in taskbar?

I used to have for dark squares in top right of the screen inside the task bar . I deleted them by mistake and searched in taskbar options and in workspace options but I can't see an option that could bring them back. Is there any way of getting them back?

note: I deleted them by right clicking the taskbar and then clicking in some option right there, but I don't remember exactly which one. I I right click there again theres no option to get them back either.

Until you give us more information we have absolutely no idea.

The DE/WM that you are using would be a good start.

I forgot about that of course . My system has all default with xfce . I have just installed it so everything is clean.

The panel item is named "Workspace Switcher". That's what you need to add to your panel to get the thing back.

I checked Workspace Switcher on the internet , and so far it looks like its the same as the option workspaces . (which I already try, it allows for adding more workspaces, or change margin)
my desktop right now looks like this https://imgur.com/a/6s4vw87   , modyfing layout: number of workspaces option does not bring the workspace back sadly.

You need to add the switcher to the panel?

Here's a guide I just made about how to add items to the panel:

Type "workspace switcher" into the search box of the "add new items" window.
