Just installed firefox from testing, but like my manual installation... firefox 2 seems to disagree with the Beta Flash Plugin.
Any page with flash seems to segfault Firefox (and swiftfox for that matter). Anyone else experiencing this?
Edit: Actually, it seems to be doing the same with the stable (7.0) Flash as well.

Flash seems to work perfectly here. Tried youtube and some other flash site, all seem fine.

Hmm, strange. Wonder what my issue could be. I've tried removing .mozilla, and reinstalling everything.
Hmm, actually, maybe It's just a matter of me not exporting... XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1. Update in 2 minutes...
Edit: Yep.. That was it.
Now my only complaint is backspace doesnt go back a page anymore, i have to alt+left arrow now.
Well I ended up having to disable composite all together. It didn't agree with firefox at all, even without flash. (Which is weird, its only given me issues with flash before.)

It works over here, but I'm wondering why it is called Bon Echo. This is the final release, right? Has is got something to do with branding?

It's not firefox without the logos, so the unofficial build removes the name together with the logo.
The only thing I patched to get something back is the build number, I want dates to appear in the build number.

browser.backspace_action is the setting you want to fix. Type about:config in the address bar, and search for backspace. You want to set the value to 0 if you want the old behavior back.

why was "bon echo" chosen as the name?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mozilla_Fi … nt_version:
The code name for Mozilla Firefox 2.0 was Bon Echo, but for the official Beta 1 release it was branded "Firefox 2." It still retains the Bon Echo name for the unofficial builds. "Bon Echo", like other Firefox development names, is the name of a public park: Bon Echo Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada.

firefox 2 and flashplugin-beta work the same here as with firefox 1.5. it usually works but sometimes ff crashes when playing large videos, long ones (>=20 minutes) on dailymotion for example, or i'm closing a tab containing flash-content. that didn't happen with flash 7 and firefox 1.5.

Why not leave the name and the logos on, like the mozilla-firefox 1.5.0.7?
