Failed to load module “module-alsa-card”: PulseAudio

I have been trying to get my microphone working for 2 days now. I just bought a new Lenovo Thinkstation P620 and I used to use the microphone for voice recognition on my previous laptop. When I run pulseaudio, I get the following error:

And here is the output I get for arecord -l. Card #3 (the rear microphone and speaker out plate with the 3.5mm jacks) is what I'm trying to get to work.

I did try my microphone in Ubuntu and it just worked. I also don't get the "module-alsa-card" error. Do I need to configure a kernel parameter?

What causes this module-alsa-card error? How can I fix it? Much thanks.
