I just wanted to thank everyone involved, because i can now suspend my computer at last!
ubuntu edgy broke suspend for me (you would expect a newer kernel and whatnot to improve hardware support...) so now i will probably run arch as my main OS from now on.
The only thing i had to do was to edit /etc/powersave/sleep and remove prism54 so that all modules get unloaded at suspend.
If you want some further feedback, this is the only "quirk";
Restarting services:
starting alsa:
## stty: standard input: Inappropriate ioctl for device
## :: Restoring ALSA Levels [-9G [BUSY] [-9G [DONE]
starting network:
## stty: standard input: Inappropriate ioctl for device
## :: Starting Network [-9G [BUSY] [-9G [DONE]
starting netfs:
## stty: standard input: Inappropriate ioctl for device
## :: Mounting Network Filesystems [-9G [BUSY] [-9G [DONE] Bu the way.. I have a centrino 17.73 ghz pentium m, it defaulted to p4-clockmod as frequence scaling driver. It ran at the lowest setting (164 mhz) when i booted into gnome, and as you can imagine everything was a bit sluggish LOL. Using "speedstep-centrino" as driver, and "ondemand" as governor (in /etc/powersave/cpufreq of course) made everything OK again. Now i have no need to run cpufreq-set in rc.local ever again ![]()
I can imagine i'm not going to be the only one with this "problem" so you might wan't to put this in a sticky or include it in some announcement.
Again, thanks (oh mighty arch developers)!
