Applications freeze on 2nd desktop environment

Hi,

I'm using a single laptop for work and private stuff. To deal with this, I log in on a separate xfce4 sessions. In general this works great. I can easily and quickly switch between them with ctrl+alt+(F7|F8).

The issue is, that some applications freeze, after being left for some time on the other session:
- Konsole stops at some point and picks up really quick after I reactivate the session
- Youtube on Firefox works perfect most of the time, but sometimes it stops on longer videos, because it doesn't buffer when on inactive session
- Google Meet on Google Chome just crashes if I change the session
- Zoom would crash after 5-10 minutes, other than that, no problems.
- Spotify, or lately Deezer - zero problems

The biggest deal for me is Konsole. I run scripts that run for 15-60minutes at the time, and switching the session freezes them.

Could someone please explain to me what's happening? - I've been running Linux most of my life, I can handle all the details wink
Could someone please propose some solution to this?
