Soo I`ve heard that on linux there aren`t any viruses and even tho I later found out it`s not true i never got an antivirus but after a recent problem decided to get clamav and follow the install instructions of our wiki
After I scanned the whole system it reported back.... 8 million viruses found (this system is 2 months old at best)
Can this be a mistake , I mean 8 mill that sure sounds? should I add '--remove' and just let it delete them would that break my system ? And what can I do to protect my system ?Any recommendation ?

How did you scan your system?
What is the actual output of (presumably) clamscan?
If you're referring to
----------- SCAN SUMMARY -----------
Known viruses: 8515051
[...]This is the amount of virus signatures in clamav's database.
I.e. the amout of viruses it knows how to detect.
This is what you should be looking for:
Infected files: 0A zero there means, that clamav did not find any of those 8M viruses on your system.
