I'm trying to install XFCE desktop environment with lightdm.
But I get black screen or error "Failed to start Light Display Manager" after booting.
lightdm.service is enabled. Also, I have no problem with my video card because I can run XFCE using startx command.
I have installed lightdm-gtk-greeter and I tried to set greeter-session to lightdm-gtk-greeter. Also didn't help.
Lightdm login screen works if I try to run it manually from console using command sudo lightdm --debug, but after entering correct password I get error "Unable to contact settings server" "Could not connect: connection refused.".
My ~/.xinitrc configured like: "exec startxfce4", also I've tried "exec startx". Nothing worked.

Please post /var/log/lightdm/lightdm.log and /var/log/Xorg.0.log after you have rebooted and lightdm has failed without starting lightdm in any other manner.
The lightdm.log you have posted does not show lightdm failing so I am assuming it was overwritten by a later run of lightdm.
