[RX 6900XT] No sensor data after several reboots

Hey people!

I'm pretty new to Arch. Had Manjaro installed before this and wanted to try Arch due to an annoying bug I got.

For whatever reason, after several restarts of Arch (and Manjaro before) the sensor data of my GPU is gone. I am not fiddling around with the hardware at all and already had amdgpu installed. So it couldn't really be that.

So I went on to check if there are any packages that might cause this, but there are none.

I honestly have no clue how to debug this. Does anyone know what to do? The GPU still works, but profiles in CoreCtrl won't do, obviously.

sensors is showing me the following:

I remember a thread there talking about fan1_input but I think it wasn't exactly your problem, it was a problem with the file that always happened and not just sometimes.

Yeah, well, after these "several restarts" it's a problem I got permanently as well. It won't revert, except I reinstall Linux completely.

take look at the i2c issue with navi 2 gpus: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Lm … avi_2_GPUs

this bug applies to corectrl too. pretty much anything that tries to touch i2c.
