[SOLVED] LightDM fails to launch on boot, has no issues being started

Hi There,

I am using LightDM as my DisplayManager however recently out of the blue the LightDM will present with

systemd[1]: lightdm.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.

. I then Alt-F2 into tty2 and use

sudo systemctl start lightdm.service

and the system launches up LightDM with no questions asked.

I tried running

sudo journalctl -xe

though this is not showing any LightDM messages

Below is my LightDM.conf

Re: [SOLVED] LightDM fails to launch on boot, has no issues being started

#logind-check-graphical=false

LightDM#LightDM_does_not_appear_or_monitor_only_displays_TTY_output
If that does not resolve the issue,  please post the contents of /var/log/Xorg.0.log /var/log/lightdm/lightdm.log and var/log/lightdm/seat0-greeter.log after lightdm fails but before you restart it.

[EDIT] This worked like a charm. Thanks again

Thanks, I have made this change and I will update once I have tested this.

Thank you
