Sundenly some subsystems of KDE bacame slugish. Eg login takes more time and dolphin takes a long time to start.
I noticed many errors with dmesg
usb usb4-port1: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB
It is an integrated card reader (stopped working) so, no way to fix it. I tried cleaning the mainboard, checking capacitor etc, but nothing fixed it.
I guess KDE wait for the usb port to get ready?
Is there any way to disable the faulty usb port?
Also lsub takes a long time to produce output.

OK. I disabled the usb with:
echo "usb4" | sudo tee /sys/bus/usb/drivers/usb/bind
Time for a new laptop...
