[SOLVED] Blinking underscore on boot when a display manager is enabled

Hello, I'm looking for help with a boot issue.
I have Arch with gnome installed. I can boot into a command line and start gnome with "systemctl start gdm" with no issues.
When I enable it as my display manager on boot with "systemctl enable gdm", I am met with a blinking underscore on boot, and am forced to boot via USB and chroot into the drive to disable gdm.

Any insight would be appreciated, thank you.

EDIT
I had added my video driver to /etc/mkinitcpio.conf but I had neglected to regenerate the initramfs.
Problem solved.

It says something and means what it means for each and every of these incidents.

Please also search before posting (because this is now every other thread) and see my signature on how to boot the multi-user.target so you don't have to chroot from a USB key.
