Cannot boot into installation USB

Hey there, I'm using a Lenovo V145-15AST (here are the full specs for reference).
I installed arch initially with the January 2021 iso image without any problems. The BIOS is BZCN23WW(v.2.02)

The problem:
For unrelated reasons, I had to boot from the installer again, so I used the March 2021 iso image which was the current one at the time. My PC would display the installation prompt, but would boot into a black screen (no cursor or prompt) if "Arch Linux Install Medium (UEFI)" was chosen.

Extra info:
I've also had this problem with the April 2021 image

For making the bootable USB I've tried with Rufus using both "iso" and "dd" options (always using GPT and UEFI) with no avail. I've also tried with Balena Etcher and dd. The bootable I'm currently using was created with dd using the April 2021 image

I've tried setting the kernel parameter "nomodeset", also to no avail. Just for the record, I appended "nomodeset" to the end of parameter list like this:

initrd=\arch\boot\intel-ucode.img initrd=\arch\boot\amd-ucode.img initrd=\arch\boot\x86_64\initramfs-linux.img archisobasedir=arch archisolabel=ARCH_202104 nomodeset

Yes, it still works. It's only the later images that don't
