I tried updating my drivers to nvidia instead of the default nouveau Xserver drivers with:
sudo pacman -S nvidia nvidia-utils nvidia-settings nvidia-dkms(I am using Linux Zen kernel) everything installed then I tried rebooting and it says all the usual stuff then instead of doing to sddm it hangs at “Started Hostname Service”. I can access rescue terminal with ctrl alt f2. When I try typing sddm is says “Initiating, Starting,” and hangs at “Logind interface found” I try that with sudo and it just hangs at a blinking cursor(still in terminal) I tried restarting and it presents the same message. How can I get it to boot into KDE & SDDM with nvidia drivers working properly? I am running base Arch with SDDM and KDE plasma(no distro). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you install linux-zen-headers so that the module can be built? If you did and it's still not working look at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NV … de_setting to set them up to load early.

Yes, I installed Linux-xen-headers and added the stuff to modprobe.conf AND boot parameters and it still shows “Started Hostname Service” I don’t know why it is saying this!

I did systemctl —failed and it says “sddm.service loaded failed failed Simple Desktop Display Manager”
I did sudo journalctl -p 3 -xb and it says nvidia-gpu 0000:07:00.3 i2c timeout error e0000000, ucsi_cgg 3-8008: i2c_transfer failed -110 and ucsi_cgg_init failed - -110.
I did sudo vim /var/log/Xorg.0.log and it says at the last line “Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/nvidia/nvidia_drv.so”
I did nvidia-smi and it says it gas failed because it couldn’t communicate with the nvidia driver

Post a full sudo journalctl -b the symptoms sound like the nvidia kernel module is not loaded, which actual graphics card is this. The nvidia timeout errors can normally be ignored.

How would you like me to post sudo journalctl -b, it is extremely long and it takes me 2 minutes to record every section. Is there a shorter command that would yield more focused logs?

See the tip box from pastebin to pipe the commands output to a pastebin from the console then post the generated link.
