I have a RX 580 set to a overclock and undervolt using corectrl, the overclock worked fine until after last night when i updated to recent mesa (21.0.2-1) plus other updates too systemd etc, and since then when I enable the profile with overclock after a boot the system freezes with glitched squares and messed up colors, I tried switching ttys but it didn't work, only a hard reset fixes it.

Check /var/log/pacman.log .
Were there qt5 updates included in the update ?
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

Yes there was a update for qt5-base, but I don't know how that would cause that.

The dependencies for corectlr[1] list 5 qt5 packages as a dependency and one as a makedepend .
Many qt5 applications require rebuilding when the qt5 versions change.
For official packages arch dev & TUs take care of that, for aur packages users need to do that themselves.
I could be wrong but rebuilding corectlr against latest versions is not hard and easy to test.
Welcome to archlinux forums .

I just got a kernel update 5.11.12.arch1-1 => 5.11.13.arch1-1 this fixed the issue, now my overclock works just fine. I haven't done a stress test, will update afterwards.
