UFW error: WARN skipping 'samba' couldn't process

I thought ufw was running fine on my system. Something earlier today drove me to do a basic security check on my system, so I installed and ran Lynis

It wasn't long before it became apparent that it wasn't. I've read what I can find and ensured that samba was installed and correctly configured. I ran testparm and everything looked okay.

I've ensured that the iptables service isn't running (likewise ipv6).

Yet I keep coming back to this:

# ufw status
WARN: Skipping 'samba': couldn't process
Status: inactive

Could someone please steer me in the right direction to solve this please? I don't actually use sharing with Windows at all, I simply want my firewall to run.
