Hi there,
I have an issue with the new Gnome Shell, 40.0.1 : I only have 2 workspaces available, and there are no new ones created "dynamically" as before (and set in Gnome Tweaks, first option). Does not seem to be a known bug as I can't find any posts about this.
Anyone has an idea?
Thx
Edit: By turning of extensions in general, it works like intended. So I presume it was one of the extensions, and mark as solved, as I don't need them.

You should be able to switch horizontal workspaces with Ctrl+Alt+leftarrow and Ctrl+Alt+rightarrow. You will start with 2. Once you have a window opened in both then you will get a third. Similarly when all 3 are filled you will get a fourth. If you want a static number then use the Tweaks tool.

Yes, that's how it should work (and how it used to, vertically
)
I figured out that a new workspace is created as long as you open a new app on the last workspace available. If you move a window from a previous to the last open workspace, there won't be new ones. Maybe a bug, or a problem with my system.
