Re: Start Arch Linux from Grub

Hello,
I would take a look at General recommendations

From there, I went ahead and picked a display manager and then a window manager.
I had an older computer, so I choose lightdm and fluxbox.

Re: Start Arch Linux from Grub

Thank you all for the answers. I don't remember the commands I made but the output is the following:

GNU GRUB version 2.04 Hinimal BASH-1lke line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command complet lons. Anywhere else TAB lists possible device or file conpletions.

grub> Is (hd0) (hd0, gpt3) (hd0, gpt2) (hd0, gpt1)

grub> Is (hd0, gpt2)/ lost+found/ var/ dev/ etc/ sys/ proc usr/ bin boot/ home/ lib 1lib64 mnt/ opt/ root/ sbin

grub> Is (hd0, gpt2)/boot/ EFI/ grub/

grub> ls (hd0, gpt2)/boot/grub/ X86 64-ef 1/ locale/ themes/ fonts/ grubenv grub.cfg

grub> ls (hd0, gpt1)/ vmlinuz-linux-Its initramfs-linux-lts. Ing initramfs-linux-Its-fallback.img vmlinuz-linux initramfs-linux. img initramfs-linux-fallback.Img efi/

grub> Is (hde, gpt1)/ef1/ grub_uef 1/ grub> Is (hde,gpt 1)/ef1/grub_uef 1/ grubx64.efi

I looked for a video that could explain it to me and I found this:

https://christitus.com/grub-rescue/

If anyone knows how to apply those commands to my case or has the right commands and can tell me I would be grateful.
Thank you very much in advance everyone

Re: Start Arch Linux from Grub

Did you get the grub menu where you choose the kernel to load or did you get right to the grub command line after turning your computer on?
Also did you do these steps from your previous post: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 0#p1967320

Re: Start Arch Linux from Grub

I joined grub after installing grub and rebooting.

I ran the command of the post you sent me before i enter the grub, but instead of telling me it was generating the images on the grub it didn't tell me anything.
And I think the mistake is that.
Now how do i go back to the shell and reconfigure the grub?
Many thanks in advance

Re: Start Arch Linux from Grub

You should boot back into your iso (from USB) as if you were installing Arch Linux, mount the partitions, chroot and continue at the steps for GRUB install: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GRUB#UEFI_systems
If the installation for grub didn't go well, we will need more information (commands entered and output).

You are using (or, attempting to use) the wrong distro. We aren't going to hold your hand here.
