Virtmanager UEFI boot not working

I installed libvirt, qemu, and virt-manager plus edk2-ovmf and enabled and started libvirtd service, but even though I select UEFI boot on the virt-manager menu, it still reverts to BIOS as soon as I click "begin installation" and boots the disc image in BIOS mode.

What am I missing here? I need help.

Thanks.

Re: Virtmanager UEFI boot not working

Same here and I even got more package installed and I've tried this for weeks.
Search gives pages and pages with nothing working.

Switched to 100% in 2020 and haven't been happier but have used Linux on and off since back in the 90's.
It's either Linux or Electronics for me, fixing broken laptops and make them "faster" with Linux running on 'em

Re: Virtmanager UEFI boot not working

and now I got it.

Seems an already created image can't be changed to uefi just by a parameter, so I deleted this one and created a new but checked the box "..change before install.." and in those parameters there is a combobox in the lower part where you can set the uefi and then create this 'virtual image'.
At boot this will now work.

Weird, been of this for weeks... I answer this and found the solution...lol
