[SOLVED] System freeze when monitor plugged in (Nvidia)

I usually use 2 monitors on my arch setup:
Monitor #1: 1920x1080, 60 Hz, DVI
Monitor #2: 2560x1440, 144 Hz, HDMI
This worked fine for two years or so but when I updated my packaged on Thursday and rebooted, my PC froze on a black screen with a white underscore. Further testing revealed that my system works fine with only monitor #1 connected, but as soon as I connect monitor #2 (also when #1 is disconnected) it just freezes.

journalctl tells me this when the crash occurs:

This is on the newest nvidia-driver, released today (465.24.02-3). Before, I got a longer output:

Re: [SOLVED] System freeze when monitor plugged in (Nvidia)

https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comm … urce=share
and
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 9#p1968129

Solved by downgrading the packages nvidia, nvidia-utils nvidia-settings, lib32-nvidia-utils and linux. All packages to some 460-ish version, linux to 5.11.13. The only true fix right now seems to be to wait for nvidia to get their shit together fix this.
