I just did a pacman -Syu, and now I cannot login on the console. I searched, but did not see any other report of this problem.
The journal indicates that gnome-shell is crashing.
Known issue?

I notice now that there is a funny version of gnome-shell in testing since 4/15. Perhaps someone is working on this?

I updated to the new gnome-shell and mutter, and I updated the bug.

The problem has been identified as a bug in mutter. The problem manifests if you have either 'dwell-click' or 'secondary-click' enabled on the pointing device, The workaround is to either turn both of these off, or run GNOME under X11 for now.
