How to turn off a Monitor without deforming the wallpaper

I'm using this script to power off the laptop monitor but then it causes the wallpaper to warp in the HDMI monitor with a black box on the left side of the screen. Does anyone know to solve it?

xrandr --output eDP --off --output HDMI-A-0 --primary --mode 1920x1080 --rotate normal
