I'm using Arch Linux with KDE Plasma and whenever I use the motherboard ports for my headset it switches from line-out to something else for a split second which causes hiccups.
My hardware is:
Intel i7 4790
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070ti (proprietary drivers)
Mainboard: Gigabyte H97-HD3
16Gb DDR3 Ram
I am using PulseAudio and have not edited any of the files (daemon.conf, default.pa, etc.) in any way. I would really appreciate some help!

You can disable pulse reacting to a broken jack detection by removing/commenting load-module module-switch-on-port-available in your /etc/pulse/default.pa but that will also mean that you have to do the port switchover manually yourself.

The issue sadly still persists. So it still has that little hiccup.

Does it persist or is it simply during the plug in? Could just be a bad plug/mainboard audio shielding that you are unlikely to be able to do much about.

It persists. So every 30 seconds or so it has a hiccup. I dual boot sometimes for some games though and I didn't have any issues there.

Try a
options snd_hda_intel power_save=0
in a /etc/modprobe.d/audioPower.conf or so and reboot

It sadly is still there. Do you think it's just a hardware error?

Here you can see what it looks like when it's switching devices for a second. https://imgur.com/a/2YHzi5n
Thank you already for your help and time though!
