Console Screen Saver

This is probably a trivial question, but I cannot seem to figure it out:
I'm looking for a screen saver that would work on the console (no X on my system). I would like the system to turn the HDMI screen off (not just blank it) after a certain delay without putting the rest of the system to sleep or hibernation. If any key is pressed, the screen should turn back on. Where can I find more information on this?
