Grant QEMU/KVM guests acces to the hosts strongswan IPsec VPN

Hi everyone, i am searching for your advice on the following topic:

I have an arch host connected to some remote IPsec gateway via the local ethernet connection. Strongswan is configured an running, giving the host (with the virtual ip 172.16.XXX.AAA) access to the remote network (172.16.XXX.YYY/24).

Now i would like to provide (Windows and Linux) QEMU guests on the aforementioned host with access to the remote VPN network. I managed to run the default libvirtd network, creating a virbr0 interface with a 192.168.122.0/24 subnet connecting to the ethernet via NAT.
From within a guest i however miss the access to the remove VPN network (172.16.XXX.YYY/24).

Before posting any particular configs / logs i would like to know if this approach is at all feasible and would be thankful for any directed advice on where to read up on this.

Thanks!
