[SOLVED]Mate notification daemon issue

DE: MATE
Version: 1.24.2

Problem: mate-notification-daemon crashes on first notification.

Workaround: Replace mate-notification-daemon with notify-osd
Steps:
Install notify-osd:

# pacman -S notify-osd

(there's also a customizable version on AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/noti … tomizable/ )

edit:

/usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.freedesktop.mate.Notifications.service

Replace:

Exec=/usr/lib/mate-notification-daemon/mate-notification-daemon

with:

Exec=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/notify-osd
