Hi,
I remarked some time ago that a new functionality had been added: when I type a "compose sequence", an indicator shows the sequence I'm typing undelined. So, more concretely, when I press my compose key, an underlined · appears. If I type a ` next, it replaces the ·, and if I type an u, the indicator disappears and the character ù appears. I liked that feature but I just noticed it is now gone! I don't know at all what caused that functionality to appear and then to disappear (maybe it's entirely on my end). Is there someone here who knows about it?
Thanks!

I found what caused that. The culprit is ibus. This is due to the option called "Embed preedit text in application window" in ibus-setup. Very strange, because I don't remember activating nor deactivating ibus.
Activating ibus resolved also two bugs: the text in gedit and xed was slightly blinking when editing and moving the mouse, and this issue when scrolling in gtk applications (irregular scroll movements).
