Looking for a TV remote friendly launcher

Hi,

I have a computer connected to my TV, mainly used for Kodi. I control it mainly from my TV remote with libcec.

I used to have Kodi launch at LXDE session startup and autologin activated on LightDM. This worked fine but was not ideal for launching other applications (eg Moonlight) as I either needed to use a plugin within Kodi able to do that (which mean Kodi would still be running which could cause some device concurrent usage issue) or exit Kodi and reached for a mouse to launch the other application.

I have recently tried Plasma Bigscreen combined with cecdaemon that allows to have a fullscreen launcher that operates well with simple keyboard shortcuts sent by cecdaemon (basically arrow + enter keys). However, it needs a lot of KDE dependencies, is quite heavy, and pull unwanted things like PulseAudio.

Does anyone know an application launcher that could meet my needs while remaining on the lightweight side?
