I am following a guide to have some basic controls over my Philips Hue from cli. The guide tells me to find the mac address of the Hue with arp -a <BRIDGE_IP>. But it seems the arp package has been deprecated. I have googled for a while, but haven't found an alternative to arp. I only find out how to find the mac address of the device I'm running commands from, which doesn't work for the Hue. Any help would be appreciated.

Log onto your routers web interface, it should list the MAC of all attached devices.

That's a good idea. I found it now in the router device-list. Thank you very much.

Thank you, that worked too. Funny to think 4 little characters was all I needed. :-)
