[SOLVED] Moving headphones pauses/resumes play

I got this Jabra Evolve2 bluetooth headset from the office that I'm using with PulseAudio. When I put down the headphones, or put them on, it must send some event that causes media to switch between play and pause. For example, I pause a youtube video, then put down my headphones, and then it resumes playing. The same happens with Exaile. I can't figure out where to configure this, does anyone have a clue?

Re: [SOLVED] Moving headphones pauses/resumes play

That usually requires MPRIS integration and if I'm reading this correctly integration here is implemented via the AVCRP protocol in bluetooth land, try the adjustment mentioned in: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Blueto … low_volume

Alternatively you can disable MPRIS for the applications in question, but that would also mean that track information doesn't show in MPRIS using widgets should you have something set up here, e.g. plasma has a media widget that shows the currently playing track via MPRIS that also wouldn't work anymore

That AVRCP adjustment did the trick indeed, thanks a lot!

Re: [SOLVED] Moving headphones pauses/resumes play

Note that this might have some undesired side effects like volume changes not being synchronized properly, but I haven't found a way to explicitly and only disable the play/pause events on this short googling spree.

If you feel the issue is resolved please mark the thread as such by prepending [SOLVED] or so.
