Alternative Ways to install Unreal Engine 4, avoiding root directory ?

Hi,

I'm trying to install UE4, just to get to know it and play around with it for a bit.

That being said, my root partition is 60G, with not even half of it used. But it's still not enough to
install UE4. There's still plenty of room in my home partition, though.

I don't particularly feel like re-partitioning my disk because it's always a pain, especially with
an encrypted disk.

Thus, I wonder if anyone knows a good way to install UE4 differently ? Like, for Unity I just
use the AppImage, no need to install anything system-wide.

So I wonder if there's a similar option for UE4  ?

Best,
N

The AUR package (unreal-engine) installs to /opt/unreal-engine by default. The easiest way would be to set up a bind-mount from there to another location or change that in the PKGBUILD.

Hmm that might be an option. For now I just started the binary directly from the build folder. Seems like my computer isn't powerful enough to use it anyway, so I probably won't even bother ...
