amdgpu shows a lot of errors

amdgpu is throwing up a lot of errors. Should I be worried?? Also my laptop doesn't wake up from sleep, does it have something to do with this??

$ sudo dmesg -l err | grep amdgpu

Searching for this in the web brought to this bug https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208893
There he says

To fix this problem after boot on the RX 5700 XT Red Devil I had to run this as root, can we make a patch for that to be the default?

- echo "high" > /sys/class/drm/card0/device/power_dpm_force_performance_level

But if I run the command, I get:

# echo "high" > /sys/class/drm/card0/device/power_dpm_force_performance_level
bash: echo: write error: Invalid argument

I looked up in the ArchWiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/AMDGPU … cy_problem
But that didn't change anything.

Re: amdgpu shows a lot of errors

If this is a multi-gpu system, card0 might not be the right one

cat /sys/class/drm/card0/device/{vendor,device}

You can also try passing

amdgpu.dpm=0

to the kernel commandline, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Kernel_parameters
