When I close my laptop lid to suspend it, I've noticed the screen regularly turns back on before briefly turning back off again, and repeating. The whole system seems to go in and out of suspend since the fans also turn back on when this happens.
I'm using sway as my WM and have tried messing with /etc/systemd/logind.conf. In particular, I've found that adding HoldoffTimeoutSec=0s increases the rate at which the screen blinks to roughly turning on and off each second. Sometimes when coming out of a suspend the keyboard also doesn't work for a few seconds (similar issue when logging in to the tty after booting).
