Hello!
The owncloud client application is not respecting my system locale. I have it set to de_DE.UTF-8 and this is respected by the entire system, including all other Qt apps. Only the owncloud client does not pick it up and keeps using English.
I already tried to set LC_ALL but this also had no effect.
$ locale
LANG=de_DE.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES=
LC_PAPER="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=Is this a bug that I should report or am I missing something?

I had a problem like that years ago, i solved it by following this : https://github.com/nextcloud/desktop/issues/78

Thank you for your reply. But the suggestions there are not working for me.
This seems to be a regression in owncloud 2.7. I've downgraded to 2.6.3 from the archive and in this version the language settings are respected.
However, owncloud does seem to read the environment variables. When I set it to a locale that is not present on my system I get an error message. But when I set it to German it silently switches to English.
I'm going to report it upstream.
