touch pad configuration

Hi,

I'm stuck with configuring my touchpad and was hoping someone could give me some pointers.  I'm trying to get to a point that i can copy and paste, preferably some middle mouse button emulation.  The method doesn't matter much to me, 2-fingers click, right bottom are click
hp pavilion laptop, touch pad without buttons

I have tried to follow the docs around this but doesn't seem to be able to make sense from it, I have tried somethings with "input set-prop 13"  and xconf files but i don't seem to know what I'm doing here
