[SOLVED] Broadcom BCM43602 doesn't show interface, works in Arch ISO

Hi all,

I'm having trouble troubleshooting an issue with my Broadcom drivers. My laptop has a BCM43602 and uses the broadcom-wl driver. I installed the driver and the standard linux kernel, but ip -a didn't show the interface. I tried installing linux-lts and broadcom-wl-dkms but the issue persists. However, the interface shows up and works in the latest (2021.06.01) Arch ISO. I tried downgrading broadcom-wl (with the standard linux kernel installed) to the same version as the one on the ISO but that did not work either.  I'm not sure what else I'm missing here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

output of dmesg | grep wl with linux-lts and latest broadcom-wl-dkms:

Just wanted to add: I tried downgrading all the packages on the system to the arch archive of the date of the ISO and still no luck.

Two months later, I figured it out. It works without broadcom-wl installed.

@nsvdhx thanks for posting! this was driving me crazy. Removed broadcom-wl and all was good ( I also removed all the drivers I tried along the way... b43-firmware, b43-firmware-classic, broadcom-wl-dkms...)
