Arch64 upgrade failed

Hi there,

I've got AMD dual core single Opteron workstation loaded with Arch64.

Just upgraded the system through Pacman -Syu.

After apgrade, the system reboot fails with the following messages:

RAMDISK: Couldn't find valid RAM disk image starting at 0.
VFS: Cannot open root device "302" or unknown - block (3,2).
Please append a correct "root=" boot option.
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFC: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block (3,2).

I can reboot the system only through the cold restart

Please help

Re: Arch64 upgrade failed

I've not used Arch64, but it looks as if your kernel got upgraded and you failed to update lilo/grub.  Double check your lilo / grub config and run "lilo" if necessary.  Also, be aware of the change from initrd to mkinitcpio with the 2.6.18 kernels (assuming it's the same for Arch64, don't know for sure).

Hope this helps.
